On May 12, 2025, the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) hosted the International Sustainability Forum under the theme "Shaping a Sustainable and Livable City: Green Industry, Shared by the World." At the same event, the Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Contribution Awards 2025 ceremony took place, where Yuhu Cold Chain was recognized for its exceptional contributions to sustainability. The company received the following prestigious awards:
- Gold Award for Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Contribution for Xiangyang and Changsha projects.

Yuhu Cold Chain’s extensive nationwide network of cold chain food supply centres, combined with its green development strategies, has earned consistent recognition from global authorities. In previous years, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Meishan, and Jieyang projects were also honored at the Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Contribution Awards.
This year’s forum attracted over 1,200 elite participants, including representatives from Hong Kong government departments, regulatory bodies, trade organizations, social enterprises, financial institutions, and environmental NGOs. Keynote speakers included Tse Chin-wan, Secretary for Environment and Ecology of the Hong Kong SAR Government; Christopher Hui, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the Hong Kong SAR; and Chen Gang, head of the Belt and Road Green Development International Alliance.
Award-Winning Projects in Focus
Yuhu Cold Chain (Xiangyang)
Located in the Fancheng District of Xiangyang, this state-of-the-art facility spans 130,000 square meters in land area , with 120,000 square meters in GFA and a storage capacity of 100,000 tonnes. Since acquisition in March 2024, the project has progressed rapidly, with its commercial area already completed in February 2025. The facility will be operational by the end of the year and is equipped with advanced green building technologies, photovoltaic power systems, and smart energy-saving solutions.
Yuhu Cold Chain (Changsha)
As one of Hunan Province’s top industrial projects and signature foreign investment projects, the park covers 260,000 square meters land area, with a total GFA of 360,000 square meters and a storage capacity exceeding 280,000 tonnes. The facility, which supports dual trade flows ("Buying Global, Selling to Hunan; Buying in Hunan, Selling Global"), Integrated Services Centre in Changsha was officially launched in April 2025. Recognized as a First-Grade (Three-Star) Green Warehouse - the highest grade of accreditation for green warehousing in China, the project sets a benchmark for green construction and digital management.
Yuhu Cold Chain (Guangzhou)
Opened in April 2024 in the Huadu District of Guangzhou, this facility occupies 208,000 square meters in land area, with a total storage capacity of 124,000 tonnes. It features cutting-edge automated storage systems, IoT-driven temperature control, and energy-efficient infrastructure. A standout feature is its distributed photovoltaic power system, which generates over 6.6 million kWh annually, reducing carbon emissions by more than 3,000 tonnes each year. The park also promotes inclusivity through dedicated halal food zone, earning recognition as a model for fostering diverse and harmonious urban communities.
Driving Sustainable Development Through Innovation
Since launching the Greater China Cold Chain Strategy in 2020, Yuhu Group has embedded green design principles into all project planning and construction. Seven of its major facilities have achieved First-Grade (Three-Star) Green Warehouse - the highest grade of accreditation for green warehousing in China.
