From August 7th to 8th, the “Yuhu Taste o’Clock • Mid-Autumn Festival Gift Ordering Fair,” co-hosted by the Huadu District Federation of Trade Unions and Yuhu Cold Chain, concluded successfully at the Yuhu Cold Chain (Guangzhou) Trading Centre. Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Yuhu Group and the 5th anniversary of Yuhu Cold Chain, the event attracted over 600 original source suppliers and more than 2,500 representatives, including leaders and members from trade unions across towns, sub-districts, trading centres, government departments, public institutions, enterprise unions, as well as buyers and consumers from neighboring cities and districts. Together, they contributed to the strong momentum of “consumption support” empowered by the cold chain industry.

More than 50 merchants from the trading centre were chosen to exhibit at the event, offering a diverse range of products, including beef and lamb, seafood, frozen foods, and various ingredients such as mooncakes. The meat and seafood section featured premium selections like tender lamb rolls from Inner Mongolia, marbled beef from Australia, and black tiger prawns from Zhanjiang. The frozen food area showcased items such as crystal shrimp dumplings, custard buns, and beef balls—all of which are easy to convenient and ready to cook. There was also a wide variety of mooncakes, including traditional Cantonese and snow-skin styles, catering to different tastes.

On-site Product Showcase and Sales
To create a one-stop procurement experience, the event featured live cooking stations, tasting zones, and lucky draws, as well as a range of attractive offers—such as special discounts, instant savings, and gifts for scanning QR codes—showing the organizers’ utmost sincerity in rewarding participants. Buyers and consumers could seamlessly complete the entire “taste–compare–order” process on site, making purchases efficient and worry-free. As one corporate procurement manager remarked, “Being able to sample products on site helps us accurately judge the quality. With merchants well-stocked, we could purchase everything we needed in one visit, saving nearly half the time compared to our usual procurement.”

On-site procurement and sales activities
A representative from the Huadu District Federation of Trade Unions explained, “This procurement fair is a concrete measure in implementing the ‘Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Project.’ By integrating trade union resources with the cold chain platform, the event not only expanded sales channels for merchants but also provided purchasing units with high-quality, value-for-money Mid-Autumn gifts, truly delivering on the promise of consumption support.”
Significantly, all participating food products leveraged Yuhu Cold Chain’s comprehensive temperature control and traceability system, ensuring product quality from farm to table and providing a robust safety net for buyers. The operations director of Yuhu Cold Chain (Guangzhou) Trading Centre emphasized that, as an integral part of Guangzhou’s National Backbone Cold Chain Logistics Base, this event improved the circulation efficiency of cold chain food ingredients through livestream sales, centralized displays, targeted invitations, and scenario innovation. Moving forward, the trading centre will continue to deepen resource integration, creating greater value for upstream and downstream partners in the industry chain.
Mr. Wang Chunrui, General Manager of Ruichang Yixiang Agricultural Products Co., Ltd., shared, “Through this event, our company was able to directly reach more local consumers, who could taste and purchase our mooncake products on site. I’m very satisfied.”
The event not only offered an efficient solution for Mid-Autumn Festival procurement, but also pioneered new approaches to supporting regional economic growth and improving people’s livelihoods through innovative practices in cold chain exhibitions and sales.
